ADVANCES IN THE ANTIMICROBIAL ACTIVITY OF ESSENTIAL OILS - BACK OR FORWARD?

Assoc. Prof. Pavel Klouček is Head of the Department of Food Science, Czech University of Life Sciences Prague. He is dedicated to the analysis of agricultural products and foods by different separation and analytical methods (GC-MS, NMR, MALDI-TOF), safety of agricultural products and foodstuffs, and chemistry and biological activity of medicinal plants and essential oils in particular. He has published 52 publications (514 citations). He has been principal investigator of several national projects; he is a scientific director of the Czech node of large research infrastructure METROFOOD-CZ and a team leader within NutRisk Centre. He is a member of the Editorial board of the journal Horticultural Science. He is CEO of the university spin-off company Terpenix s.r.o.
