PROGRESSIVE ELECTROCHEMICAL SENSORS IN DRUG AND FOOD ANALYSIS

Dr. Ľubomír Švorc is an associate professor at the Institute of Analytical Chemistry, Faculty of Chemical and Food Technology, Slovak University of Technology in Bratislava. His research covers the development and application of state-of-the-art and smart electrochemical sensors with a great importance in health safety, environmental impact and food quality. At his relatively young age (36 years), he is an author of plenty of scientific papers (> 100; citations > 1200 without self-citing; H-index: 20) published mostly in impacted journals. Dr. Švorc obtained the prestigious awards for his research and academic activities, specifically Laureate of the Young Scientist Award 2014 in Slovak Republic; Laureate of the Element Europium in the Periodic Table of Younger Chemists awarded by IUPAC; Prize for a 3-year Scientific Rating awarded by the Literary Fund of the Slovak Republic; Best Publication Award 2016 in STU in Bratislava, Sereď Town Prize 2015 and Young Electrochemist Award for Best Publication 2013 of Metrohm, Czech Republic. Concerning the memberships, Dr. Švorc is a Delegate of the SCHS at the Division of Analytical Chemistry of European Chemical Society, Member of the Slovak National Committee of Chemistry for IUPAC, Head of the Division of Analytical Chemistry of the SCHS and member of its Presidium.
